2019 Merlot 50% Cabernet Sauvignon 25% Cabernet Franc 18% Petit Verdot 7%

HARVEST DATE                                   Various depending on cultivar between mid -February and March

VINIFICATION                         Each cultivar was harvested at optimum ripeness, between 23.5 and 25 Balling. The separate cultivars fermented dry on skins with frequent pumping over. After fermentation the separate cultivars were aged for 18 months in both American and French oak barrels, 25% new oak. After careful selection the final blend was made

TASTING NOTES                     The wine has a deep purple red colour. The nose is reminiscent of blackberries, blueberries and carnations, enhanced by a slightly smokey and leathery flavour. The pallet represents the same flavours enhanced by smooth silky tannins
