This is a stylish rendition of our local grape, the pale onion skin colour beautifully presented in an equally sleek outfit. On the nose nuanced aromas of rosehip and water melon are followed by notes of grapefruit and candied lemon peel. The palate is firm and crisp, striking a perfect balance between palate weight and freshness.

Description
Etienne and Lizanda Terblanche set out to showcase a side of Pinotage that is definitely not considered the norm.
Vineyards & Winemaking: Grapes are sourced from two Pinotage parcels located on the granite based soils of the Simonsberg (planted 1980) and Helderberg (planted 1974) mountains in Stellenbosch. The fruit was picked at two ripeness levels in order to harness the freshness from earlier pickings and the depth of flavour from later pickings. In the winery, the whole clusters were gently pressed before natural fermentation, in both stainless steel and oak vessels followed by ageing on the on the lees for 10 months prior to bottling.
